I mull over my roller blind fluttering lithely in the wind…Just to realize that
Men’s first sail is in her room
The roller blind the sail of a boat
The whirling wind the gale of knot
But only to realize
That life is sailing
Sailors, we are
This painting depicts an everyday moment in my life. I strived to portray the instantaneous movement of the roller blind and the smidge of blue, orange, yellow, and coral light permeating my room. Inspired by the pointillism of Georges Seurat, I captured the fleeting impression of light and wind and my epiphany that life is perhaps sailing.
